Butte College has announced its 2021 commencement ceremony will be held online on Friday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m.
The virtual commencement ceremony website will go live at 6:30 pm (PST), Friday, May 28. This is not a live event so graduates, families, friends and community members may also choose to access the celebration whenever it is most convenient. The site will remain accessible for one year. Last year's Virtual Commencement Ceremony is still available to view.
“I wish our circumstances were such that we could have a traditional face-to-face commencement ceremony to honor this important milestone. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The on-going risks presented by the COVID-19 pandemic require that we continue to socially distance and refrain from mass gatherings. Keeping you and your loved ones safe and healthy is of the utmost importance,” said Dr. Samia Yaqub, Butte College President. “While we cannot physically come together, we will still celebrate your achievements. We have a fantastic team working tirelessly to make sure your virtual commencement will be meaningful and fun for you and your family and friends.”
