Information About My Courses

My courses are all asynchronous and fully online. This means that you do not come to campus or log in at scheduled times; you work semi-independently where you are provided a certain period of time during which you must complete each unit. With this flexibility comes responsibility to meet those pre-determined deadlines, however.

Before the first day of the semester, if you are currently on the wait list, then you will be automatically enrolled as other students drop and space becomes available. Students will be added in the order that they occur on the wait list for as many vacancies as open up. Unless you are near the top of the wait list, you are not likely to be added, as space in my courses is limited (enrollment is capped).

After the semester begins, you will not be added automatically, even if you are on the wait list and there is space. If you are interested in adding the course, and you are currently on the wait list, then email me from your Butte College email account within 24 hours of the start of the course to tell me your name, student ID number, and the name/number of the course you wish to add. Doing so does not guarantee that I will authorize your add, but if I can (because of No Shows), then I will reply to your email with instructions on how to add. Due to the volume of emails I receive each semester, any inquiries I receive by email prior to the first day of the semester are not likely to be returned.
